July’s Bounty Has Arrived

This week has been all early mornings and late afternoons, hustling out among the rows to pick every delicate bloom right when it's at its best. Here's what's been catching our eye (and filling our buckets) lately.

Cosmos, Color, and a Little Chocolate

Our cosmos have been bursting with color and variety this season. The real showstopper, though, is this year's chocolate cosmos — yes, it really does smell like chocolate! To all our fellow chocolate lovers out there: how good does that sound?

Lisianthus, Our "Midwest Rose"

We've also been picking bundles and bundles of Lisianthus, affectionately known around here as the "Midwest Rose." These blooms are prized for their long vase life, their pet-friendly, scent-free petals, and those stunning peony-like ruffles that make them a favorite for any household bouquet.

Scabiosa and Its Pollinator Fan Club

Scabiosa has been a hit this week too  with our pollinator friends most of all. We love pausing for a moment to watch the bees and butterflies at work, playing happily in the pollen.

A Little Visitor Among the Hydrangeas

And the sweetest surprise of the week: a baby frog making itself right at home in our Quickfire Hydrangeas — proof that even the smallest visitors love this place as much as we do.
